Lugbe Skills House Project aims to identify disadvantaged youth in the Lugbe community who have either dropped out of school, are orphans, have single parents or doing menial jobs to empower them with livelihood skills and entrepreneurship education. At the end of the 3 months training program, the most outstanding participant in each of the 5 participants shall be supported with startup equipment needed to market their new skills and create wealth. Those who desire to seek employment are then better equipped with some skills to do so.
While undergoing the 3 months training, they shall also be exposed to mentors in their chosen field within the community as well as go for excursion to bigger organizations within Abuja to widen their personal dreams and aspirations. To create peer energy and sustained mentoring, a monthly Skills House Forum for Young Entrepreneurs in Lugbe and neighboring communities shall be created through this program.
The maiden edition targets 35 youths in the community.
