John Smith Fellowships for young leaders in Edinburgh & London UK
Apply now to the 4-week fellowship program on good governance, democracy and social justice!
Fellows will go for a week to Edinburgh, Scotland and follow a week long course on democracy and a weekend conference on leadership. You will work in a organization and spend the final wee in London to present your action plan to the John Smith Memorial Trust organization.
For candidates from the Middle East, the program will be November 2 – November 22, 2012.
• you are from one of the following countries: Bahrain, Iraq,
Jordan, Lebanon and Oman
• have leadership potential
• between 25 and 40 years old
• you work in politics, local administration, business, the media, the arts or civil society, with a track record of achievement in the area of the rule of law.
HOW TO APPLY

 Essay 1 (max. 1000 words)
Describe your major professional achievements to date and show how these achievements have demonstrated your leadership
 Essay 2 (max. 1000 words)
Provide below an outline project proposal for the rule of law action plan or outline the main objectives you will seek to further.
 List the areas and ideas you wish to explore, and specific institutions or organisations you would ideally like to visit and how they would relate to your action plan.
