Are you a youth resident in Plateau state and you believe you have good speaking and oratory skills? You believe you know what the issues are and would like to be listened to? You believe you have got what it takes to stand on the platform with other champions for 13 weeks on tv and become a star. Infact you believe you are the one to win the star prize, an all expense paid travel to London for a week?
Then here is that life time opportunity to become a voice and a star by registering to participate in the forthcoming maiden Plateau Intra Faith Youth Debate to be shown on television for 13weeks. It promises to be a battle of brains, wit, oratory, charisma and leadership.
The Plateau Intra-Faith Youth Peace Debate TV Series is designed to be an interactive platform that brings together youths of the two key faiths in Plateau state namely Christianity and Islam to work together via a television debating platform to deliberate on national development issues. Thirty Two (32) debating teams shall participate in this exciting competition for the best team to emerge. A debating team in will comprise 2 persons in a team, and each team shall comprise a Christian youth and a Muslim youth working together to debate against another team of Christian and Muslim youth in the competition. The debate is not about Christians debating against Muslims, neither is it on “which religion is better”. Rather it is about Christians and Muslims teaming together to debate about social development and good governance issues on the Plateau using peaceful co-existence as the foundation for thought at the maiden stage.
There shall also be a live audience to cheer the debaters as well as participate in breakout sessions to deliberate on issues and ideas generated from the debate to contribute to peace and development in Plateau state. The strongest incentive is that the winners shall be crowned Plateau Intra-Faith Youth Peace 4 Development Ambassadors and shall both enjoy a learning visit to London for a week to further deepen their knowledge on peaceful co-existence. On their return they shall develop and jointly implement a youth peace project on the Plateau

Eligibility:
Interested Christian and Muslim youth residing in Plateau aged 21 to 30years old.
