Towards building young people and strengthening youth organizations involved in development change, Youngstars Foundation has commenced the second semester training of youths across three West African countries namely: Nigeria, Ghana and Liberia. The training called DESPLAY – Democracy Series: Participation – Learning and Active Youths commenced at the Solton International hotel and resort, Ijapo Estate, Akure, Nigeria on Tuesday 21stJune 2010 with the arrival of participants across the West African sub region.
The aim of the programme is to bring together youths from West Africa to deepen their knowledge on Democracy, foster active youth participation in good governance processes, enhance leadership development among youths, improve the competence of youth involved in development and also strengthen youth representation on issues affecting their well- being. The training ends on Saturday, 26th June 2010 .
If you are a young person excited about deepening democracy and also connecting with your peers from different locations across Africa on democracy and youth participation then this program is for you. If you are an organization interested in investing in promoting democracy and good governance in Africa, this is a well tested and unique program you can partner with and expand to reach more people.
