In a bid to provide sustainable solution to several Nigeria Challenges, an NGO Family Alive Network led a current DESPLAYer, Mr Akinyemi Lapinni has initiated a social entrepreneurship campus-based and student-led organization across campuses of higher institutions in Nigeria to enable her raise young people as global assets and change makers.
With this development, Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu recently witness a landmark with the inauguration of this new group called World Changers’ League, with Special focus on youth entrepreneurship, leadership and community development initiatives.
Dignitaries present at the chapter inauguration include the General Manager of Yobe State Agency for Community and Social Development ,Alh. Goni Baba Gana, the Executive Director of Family Alive Network Arc. Lapinni Akinyemi (A DESPLAYer) and his wife, Christy Lapinni, and the Yobe State Director for National Orientation Agency, Alh. Wakkil Kaku.
In his keynote address at the occasion, the NOA State director, Alh. Wakkil Kaku. X-rayed several problems facing Nigeria ,ranging from bad leaderships to corruptions and encouraged the students to be true change makers and worthy ambassadors of Nigeria , starting from their campus.
The occasion was also used to inaugurate the pioneer chapter executives by the General Manager of Yobe CSPP, Alh. Goni Baba Gana also enjoined the executives and the entire chapter members to go out, make the difference in order to make the world a better place.
To buttress the issues of difference making, the chapter students advisers present, the head of department,Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Mr. Yakubu Minngi and Mal. Bulama Amshi of Office Technology Management Department promised to stand by the chapter and see to it that in a short while, World Changers’ League will draw the attention of the world to Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu by the reason of her impact in and outside the campus.
